Auditions are open to adults ages 17 and up.
Queen City Concerts is committed to casting a diverse and unique group of individuals, representative of the vast community that we serve.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE WARDROBE FOR THIS PRODUCTION:
THE CHER SHOW celebrates the life and music of CHER. As such, the CHER wardrobe (famously designed by Bob Mackie) is an integral piece of the show. Many of CHER's looks are very revealing and contain minimal coverage, meaning that the costumer and production team would not be able to accommodate modesty requests from the cast.
PLEASE NOTE: While only three actors on stage play CHER, there is a fashion show within the production where many other cast members are featured in her famous looks. Also, the costume direction for the entire production (across all male/female presenting roles) will lean into the style of both the time periods presented and the art of CHER's wardrobe.
There is no nudity in this production.
WHAT TO SUBMIT:
Video submissions are due by midnight, May 27th.
Video submissions should be no more than 90 seconds in length (can to use live or pre-recorded accompaniment).
At the beginning of your video, please state your name, then proceed with your song selection.
Your song selection should be a song from the CHER songbook (it does not need to be a song featured in THE CHER SHOW).
Please include a link to your video audition in the email (can be a YouTube link, Vimeo link, Google drive link, etc.).
Please complete the audition form in addition to submitting your video.
If you are requested for a callback, you will receive a notification on Thursday, May 28th. Callbacks will be held on Monday, June 1 from 7:00pm-10:00pm.
NOT ALL ROLES WILL BE CALLED BACK. If you do not hear from us, that does not mean you are not cast in the production but that we do not need to see you for callbacks. The callback will also consist of a dance combination, readings from the script, additional music selections.
Audition submissions should be emailed directly to ztarlton@qcconcerts.com. (You will receive a confirmation of your submission within 24 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation, please re-submit.)
